  1. The mobile Elite is great if you are an RVer also. My aunt and uncle both in their late 60’s now travel by RV every summer to escape the southern heat. The both have the mobilelite system and on one occasion while out camping in the back woods of Tn they did have to use it. It worked thankfully and they dispatched emergency services right to there location. The technology used it those devices are just amazing!

    1. Thank you for your comment, Cathy! I agree that the concept is pretty amazing. I was wondering if this would work in places where there are no cell phone towers. I will have to check it out. But I suppose if your aunt and uncle were in the backwoods there was probably no cell phone coverage, so it must work everywhere.

  2. Hey my grandfather used to have one of those. They are very useful. I remember one time my grandpa had a minor heart attack and thanks to his bracelet the emergency arrived on time.

I would recommend buying this to anyone senior with some sort of health condition. It can be a difference between death and life. Not only for those on move, but for those that have regular activites. You never know about these things.

    Thank you for sharing.

    1. Thanks so much for your comment. Yes, as I was researching this I thought it was a great concept. Especially for those seniors who live alone.

  3. I’ve been thinking about getting something like this for my Dad as he’s getting older, and still works out at his farm everyday where you never know what could happen.

I would assume the best option for outdoor use would probably be an on the go solution right? My question on that is how touchy is the fall detection? Will it automatically alert someone because he has lots of movement that could maybe trigger an alert.

Very good article and hopefully I’m able to find the right one for my dad!

    1. Hi Josh! Thanks for your comment. Yes, for sure the on the go would be perfect for your dad. Many times farmers get in trouble and this would be a wise choice for your dad.

I think with the state of the art technology they use these days, that there would not be a problem distinguishing moving around from a fall. Also, they would contact him from support and all he would have to say is that everything is all right. Actually, it’s a really great concept when you think about it.

In one apartment building I lived in about 10 years ago, a senior who lived alone had a stroke. For two days he lay on the floor calling for help and it was on the second day when the landlady happened to walk by and hear him. She saved his life, but it could have been a disaster. Probably other people had heard him, but maybe thought it was the T.V. or something.

Had he been hooked up to this alert system they would’ve automatically sent an ambulance even if he couldn’t push the button.
